Unlocked Doors-Small town in Michigan, winter night on Friday the 13th. Two girls hunkered down ready to have a good scary night filled with movies, however their night takes a turn when they forgot snacks and must go to the store. Forgetting a simple rule as to locking the door when they left could change their lives forever.
Raked-A man comes home to find his wife and his wife’s lover in bed…this is the story of his revenge.
The Ride-Take a ride on the coaster and it’ll be your last, of course that is the plan with this special Doctor approved roller coaster for the terminally ill. Follow one mans ride as he tells his tale.
Clown-Based on an urban legend…

This review is from: Unlocked Doors: Featuring Raked, The Ride and Clown (Kindle Edition)
This anthology is horrific but thoughtful, and a must for anyone who enjoys short reads that cut away the fluff and get right to the point. “The Ride” was my favorite short, bringing a pensive and even political edge to the modern-day horror story. Some writers need to write biblically proportioned tomes to get their points across; Jessie Bradford is not one of those. The points are sharp, searing, and painful, and they rip through your very soul before you ever see it coming. I’ve read several works by this author now across multiple genres and not a single story has left me disappointed yet. I look forward to reading many more in the future!
